The Spring season is a time of growth when we see the budding of new flowers.
There's new life in the plants and trees, more vibrancy!
In India, yellow represents knowledge, happiness, peace, concentration, creativity, and spiritual wellness.
Yellow represents Basant Ritu, the spring season, and is Goddess Saraswati's favorite colour. It's also the colour of Turmeric!

Wishing you all a happy Basant Panchami, may this auspicious time bring you health and knowledge!

“Turmeric is a super gift from nature to human beings”

Happy Turmeric Day! Basant Panchami FREE online Satsang

Join the Akhanda Global Community as we celebrate the arrival of spring in Basant Panchami with a free virtual Satsang with Yogrishi!

On this auspicious day, as the new season arrives, we will have a fire Puja to worship Goddess Saraswati. In honour of this special occasion it is traditional to make charitable donations, attend fairs, and take a dip in Ganga and wear something yellow.

After the coolness of the winter season nature begins to come back to life, the weather shifts and begins to get warmer from this day onward.

During this time people worship Saraswati at home, they fly kites and many educational institutions, like schools and colleges, they do Saraswati puja in the early morning and offer sweets and yellow flowers to the goddess.

Yellow is also the colour of an Indian signature plant: Turmeric. During the Satsang Yogrishi will tell you about its properties and amazing benefits for your wellbeing, while providing you tips on how to use it.

The word “Satsang” is a Sanskrit term derived from two roots: sat meaning “true’” and sangha meaning community or company.

Satsang is a sacred gathering that means “in the presence of Truth” and is traditionally a time when spiritual seekers ask questions to highly practiced masters.

Join the uplifting and supportive Akhanda community as we come together to share intention and spark inspiration and spiritual insight.

A recording will be made available if you’re unable to join live or would like to rewatch the event!
