Add to your teaching certifications and extend the wonderful practice of Yoga to the person who requires more care in a way that is safe, enjoyable, encouraging and transforming.

This course will give you an understanding and the tools to teach this large section of the population in a safe and competent way, enabling you to effectively share Yoga with more people.

There are many people who would benefit from Yoga but due to the way it is taught, it is not a comfortable or accessible place for them to explore their unique physical and mental wellbeing. This could include people who have lived a sedentary lifestyle, or people being introduced to physical Yoga practices in later years of life or after injury, or people with chronic conditions such as arthritis, fibromyalgia, ageing related circumstances and so forth. While Yoga supports many non physical benefits, physical conditions may require some physical care and adaptation.

In group settings, Teachers may often face the challenge of providing adequate attention, modifications, and support to individuals. This can “disrupt” the flow of a class and leave Yoga teachers feeling uncertain about how to accommodate their specific needs. Additionally, certain Yoga poses are not suitable for some people in any form. This course addresses these challenges head-on by equipping you with the necessary tools and understanding to develop tailored classes for this often underserved population.

Graduate Testimonials:

★★★★★ "This teacher training is a crucial toolbox for offering classes that are genuinely accessible without teaching to "levels. Speaking personally from experience as an amputee, I can say that it's incredibly rare to find a Yoga class or training that is actually accessible. There's talk of Yoga being for everyone, but it's not offered in an accessible way. The advice to just sit out what your body can't do is offered all too often." –Shiv S., Akhdanda Yoga Graduate

★★★★★ “Krishnaa Mutki inspires her students with a well rounded curriculum: from anatomy, physiology, class outlines down to the details of props usage, cues, and adjustments. Weekly practice classes place theory into practice. Her warm, compassionate teaching style transmits through the screen and warms the heart. No matter what "type" of Yoga you teach, the material applies.” –Sahasrara D., Akhdanda Yoga Graduate
