Join us for this first time offering exploring the paths of Bhakti and vibrance of daily kirtan celebration this Maha Shivratri 2023.
This unique 7 day Bhakti Yoga exploration kicks off on 14th February and unfolds through to the mystical energy of Maha Shivratri. You can turn your 7 day exploration into an immersive experience of inner work, festivity and celebration staying at Anand Prakash Yoga Ashram (limited spaces available!). Lead by Kal Prakashini & Shri Vrindavan with amazing local Rishikesh artists joining at Akhanda Yoga Institute!

  • 6 Experiential Bhakti workshops introducing the roots and tools of Bhakti Yoga, co presented by Shri Vrindavan and Kal Prakashini

A Bhakti Yogi at heart, Prakashini ji (name meaning: that which radiates light) has close to 40 years of exposure to the mantras, rituals, philosophies and techniques of traditional vedic and yogic practices.

Anjani Devi

Anjani Devi is a playful and devoted bhakti yogini and sound therapist, living in the remote Shetland Islands of Scotland. She strives to bring authenticity and accessibility to the Yoga practices of those within her local community through her naturally loving and supportive way; incorporating the art of soundwork into her offerings wherever possible.

Frequently Asked Questions

I have my own place to stay. Can I attend the Bhakti workshops and Kirtan Mela without staying at the Ashram?

Yes you can certainly participate in this program either online or in person without immersing at the Ashram. Workshops and add-on excursion schedules will be made available during the start of your week to allow for you to plan your own me-time and rest time during the allocated personal time.
Meal passes for fresh Ayurvedic, Farm to table meals will also be made available for purchase at the ashram front office should you wish to have the healthy sattvic meals served for ashram residential guests three times a day.

Will I get any continuing education credits participating in this programme?

Yes! Our Introduction to Bhakti Yoga Workshops presented by Kal Prakashini ji provide you with 10 hours continuing education points as required for ongoing maintenance of professional teaching accreditation by Yoga Alliance.

Is this program available for online participation?

Yes! You can join on with our virtual participation forum and enjoy the lessons and materials live with the presenters.

I can't attend some sessions, will recordings be available?

Yes! You can join on with our virtual participation forum and enjoy the lessons and materials live with the presenters. Recordings will be made available to all program participants within 12 hours on your course dashboard with access for 3 months! 

Will the workshop programs or kirtan workshops involve learning how to sing?

This program is an introduction to the path of Bhakti Yoga with plenty of opportunities to experience the power of chanting as one of the many powerful techniques for self healing on this path. While there will be many experiential and theoretical sessions, this is a foundational program and will not have sufficient time to learn how to sing comprehensively during it.
