Learning Across Two Sacred Spaces
This training takes place across two unique ashrams, each offering a distinct perspective on the Yogic way of life:
- Anand Prakash Yoga Ashram (Rishikesh): Situated in the heart of Yoga’s birthplace, this ashram offers a vibrant connection to the sacred Ganges River and the community energy of Rishikesh.
- Shri Jungle Ashram (Himalayan Foothills): A serene sanctuary surrounded by lush forest, perfect for introspection, meditation, and deep connection to nature.
This balance between dynamic learning and tranquil reflection mirrors the holistic nature of the Akhanda lineage, allowing you to experience both outer connection and inner stillness.
A Rigorous and Reverent Curriculum
The majority of the training is taught by the experienced Senior Faculty of Akhanda Yoga Wellbeing, with morning Sadhana and Q&A sessions guided by Vishva-ji. Together, they deliver a curriculum that integrates the academic and experiential dimensions of Yoga:
- Classical Philosophy: Study Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, the Eight-Limbed Path, and the Bhagavad Gita, exploring their timeless wisdom and practical applications.
- Hatha Yoga Practices: Learn and practice asana, pranayama, kriya, and meditation as interconnected tools for balance and transformation.
- Subtle and Western Anatomy: Understand pranas, koshas, and chakras alongside Western anatomical principles to guide safe and effective teaching.
- Teaching Methodology: Develop the skills to sequence, adapt, and guide classes with clarity, compassion, and confidence.
- Traditional Rituals and Practices: Participate in fire pujas, mantra chanting, and Yogic cleansing techniques like Jal Neti, connecting to the spiritual essence of Yoga.
- Living Yoga and Ayurveda: Learn how to integrate Yogic principles into daily life, embodying the sattvic qualities of simplicity, balance, and mindfulness.
An Ego-Transforming Immersion
This training challenges not only your intellect but also your ego. It is not a retreat or a luxury experience—it is an authentic initiation into sattvic living, where simplicity, humility, and communal life become your teachers.
- Shared Accommodations: Simple, clean rooms designed to foster connection and introspection.
- Sattvic Nourishment: Wholesome, vegetarian meals that cleanse and energize, supporting your practice and spiritual growth.
- Daily Discipline: Structured days include morning practices, academic study, and evening reflection, aligning you with the rhythms of Yogic life.

This is a path of selfless service, discipline, and reverence, preparing you not only as a teacher but as a custodian of the Akhanda lineage.
Vishva-ji’s Role
While the curriculum is delivered by Akhanda’s Senior Faculty, Vishva-ji leads the morning Sadhana (daily practice) and hosts Q&A sessions, offering insight and wisdom from his 25+ years of teaching experience.
