300 hr Yoga Teacher Training

Advanced 300-Hour Yoga Teacher Training with Akhanda Yoga Wellbeing

The Advanced 300-Hour Yoga Teacher Training is a profound initiation into the timeless wisdom of Yoga, rooted in the classical traditions of the Akhanda lineage. Guided by Dr. Yogrishi Vishvketu and taught by the Senior Faculty of Akhanda Yoga Wellbeing, this training bridges the gap between knowledge and embodiment, challenging you to integrate the teachings deeply into your life and professional practice.

While a 200-hour training often builds a foundation of skills, it can also inflate the ego, framing the teachings as external tools for validation. The 300-hour training dismantles this framework, inviting you to test and embody the teachings fully, preparing you to step into the world as a guide, mentor, and professional custodian of the Yogic tradition.

This program is designed to deepen your academic understanding, refine your teaching methodology, and help you emerge as a leader in the field, ready to inspire, educate, and uplift your community.

The Heart of Akhanda: Chikitsa – Conscious Self-Healing

At Akhanda Yoga Institute, our 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training is grounded in the ancient Yogic principle of Chikitsa, which means:
“To perceive, to discern, to understand, and to consciously self-heal.”

This immersive training goes beyond techniques to share the timeless tools of Chikitsa—a holistic, conscious approach to self-healing and inner transformation.

You'll be supported in exploring:
Yoga Chikitsa – self-healing through Yogic tools such as Asana, Pranayama, Mantra, Mudra, Philosophy, and Meditation
Yagya Chikitsa – self-healing through sacred fire ritual, intention setting, and subtle Pranic purification

These practices are not prescriptive treatments—they are ancient, self-healing methods for restoring inner balance, shared within a nurturing, lineage-based environment.

“Say Yes to your Self.”
— Dr. Yogrishi Vishvketu

Life in the Himalayas

  • November: The chill sets in further, with averages ranging from 5-15°C (41-59°F). Nights can dip close to freezing, particularly in the mountainous regions.
  • December: Winter is at its peak, with temperatures in lower areas like Rishikesh and Haridwar hovering between 0-10°C (32-50°F)

What You'll Need to Stay Warm Outside

  1. Base Layers: Thermal innerwear for both your top and bottom to retain body heat.
  2. Insulating Layers: Woolen or fleece sweaters and jackets to create a thermal barrier.
  3. Outerwear: A heavy, insulated jacket that is waterproof and windproof to shield you from icy winds and occasional snowfall.
  4. Other things to consider:
  • Woolen hats or beanies to protect your head and ears.
  • Gloves—preferably insulated and waterproof.
  • A scarf or neck warmer to shield against biting winds.
  • Footwear: Insulated, waterproof boots with good traction for icy pathways. Woolen or thermal socks will keep your feet cozy.
  • Extras: Hand warmers and a thermos to carry warm beverages.
