Our manuals are updated regularly and contain detailed information on all aspects of holistic yoga including asana, pranayama, meditation, chanting, cleansing kriyas, yogic philosophy, chakras, yogic lifestyle, diet, Ayurveda and more. In addition to detailed instructions and professional photos of each asana, manuals include the benefits and precautions of each pose as well as information about the associated chakra. Students additionally receive an Akhanda Yoga Anatomy Manual.
Our teachers are highly experienced facilitators who are able to get the group bonded and working together creatively from the first day. They are highly knowledgeable about Indian widsom traditions and are able to communicate their passion for yoga with the group. We use group work and pair work so that students are able to discuss, absorb and apply yoga philosophy to their own lives. In techniques class, we use demonstration and pairwork to help students absorb information about asana and pranayama and get students practice teaching to a partner in each class.

Akhanda Yoga YTT courses provide practical advice about the business of yoga. Students gain knowledge about teaching opportunities and venues and how to present and promote themselves in a professional capacity. They will work on a bio and class description, learn about the finances of yoga teaching and graduate with an understanding of how to set up their own practice. Whether students decide to teach yoga or not, the skills and knowledge acquired during our training are highly transferable to other professional environments and to daily life.
As soon as participants enroll in this course, they become a part of Akhanda Yoga’s global family. Students make friends and connections around the world that last a lifetime. Vishva and the teachers take participants on weekly outings so that they can experience the rich culture and tradition of Rishikesh, with visits to the beach, local temples and hikes to the waterfall.
Anand Prakash Yoga Ashram is a charitable trust created for the practice and study of yoga. The ashram supports and promotes the production of local organic food through its associated farm. Its charitable initiatives provide education at a free school for over 250 local children in need. This is made possible by fundraising initiatives managed by Helping Hands for India, a not-for-profit organization founded by Yogrishi Vishvketu and several of his dedicated students.
