Akhanda means indivisible, unbroken, whole, or full. Akhanda Yoga® is a holistic approach developed by teacher of teachers, Yogrishi Vishvketu (Vishva ji). The name Akhanda Yoga reflects Vishva ji’s integration of all aspects of yoga: asana, pranayama, Vedic chanting, meditation, and yogic philosophy into his classes. In Akhanda Yoga Teacher Training courses, students are also taught anatomy of yoga, cleansing kriyas, yogic lifestyle and diet as well as some principles of Ayurveda.

While many Akhanda Yoga graduates go on to teach and share the healing benefits of yoga, others pursue the Yoga Teacher Training in order to deepen their own practice and life experience through immersion in the intensive program and participation in traditional ashram life at Anand Prakash Yoga Ashram in Rishikesh, India. Rishikesh, located on the bank of the Ganges, in the foothills of the Himalayas is said to be the birthplace of yoga. Vishva ji’s students come to the ashram from all over the world to build a strong foundation for their yoga practice and return to their home countries to share all they have learned with others in their communities.
