Through Akhanda Yoga, we’ve long been offering moderate, holistic Yoga classes that are balanced in all the directional movements of the spine and balanced in terms of yang and yin (effort and allowing). Through Hatha-Raja with the bumble bee breath in each posture, the ultra slow movements and breath of Inner Reprogramming, or the Low Flow and Nurturing Flow classes, Akhanda Yoga is also restorative. AND NOW, senior Akhanda Yoga Teacher Training Eila Devi will be offering Lunar Akhanda Yoga, both on Akhanda Yoga Online and as a YTT Program! Learn to deliver and practice an Akhanda Yoga class with a focus on the yielding yin postures and approach to postures and/or fully supported postures where the ground rises to meet you through props, all while still having a class that is balanced in terms of the directions, the pranas and the full repertoire of Yoga techniques: asana, pranayama, mantra, meditation and yogic wisdom! As a Yoga teacher of almost 20 years, a former studio owner and a practitioner of therapeutic massage and Thai Yoga massage, a birth doula and educator, palliative care assistant, BodyTalk and Reiki practitioner, Eila Devi brings a wealth of experience in wellness and a grounded and nurturing presence to her teaching. Eila has also been teaching Anatomy and Techniques in the Akhanda Yoga Teacher Training programs in Rishikesh for a number of years, and is one of our core YTT staff members. Akhanda Yin Yoga – Shivratri Blessing



Join Eila Devi on Shivratri (night of Shiva) for a surrendering lunar class with a focus on healing. Shiva means welfare – when we take time to release and embrace healing energy ourselves, this energy extends outward to those around us. This practice begins with kapalabhati and movement in all directions, followed by several longer, passive holds, including the squat, wide-leg forward bend and supported bridge.

Throughout this well-rounded class, explore the five pranas and how they are boosted and balanced through posture, breathing and relaxation. Enjoy this relaxed pace and healing energy and come away with a feeling of expansion and integration.

Akhanda Restorative Yoga – Love is All There Is



Join this nurturing restorative class, in which the earth is brought up to support you through the use of cushions, blocks and blankets. Calm the nervous system and reset yourself with supported positions in all directions and to the theme Aham Prema (I am Love or Love is all there is).

Lunar Akhanda Yoga: A Yin and Restorative YTT 100

Are you hearing the call to slow down? Have you been touched by stillness and are curious about its mystery and power to heal? Join us for this 10-day intensive YTT 100 at Anand Prakash Yoga Ashram in Rishikesh, India, to learn how to open the door for others to enter into the quieter states of practice, to provide guidance and teachings from the lunar side of Akhanda Yoga.

Together we will explore new pathways into stillness. Through daily practices, experiential embodiment and study sessions, and practice teaching, you’ll come away with a clear understanding of the nuances each style offers.
