Mariellen Ward is a professional Canadian writer and travel blogger. She is also a content marketing, communications, and SEO expert. Mariellen began travelling to India in 2005, about a year after meeting Yogrishi Vishvketu at a Yoga Conference in Toronto, and has spent more than seven years in the country altogether. Mariellen’s travel blog Breathedreamgo, launched in 2009, has won a National Tourism Award from the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. In 2019, she founded India for Beginners custom tours to help people travel safely and well in India. Mariellen has a BA in Journalism, a certificate in Gestalt Therapy, and graduated from Yoga Teacher Training courses in Canada and India. Mariellen currently lives in Rishikesh and considers India to be her “soul culture.” She is a long-time member of the Akhanda Yoga Family and contributes her copywriting and marketing skills.
